What Makes Our Pixel Battens Different?
Creative Linear Design
Go beyond the traditional video wall. Our pixel battens and strips provide a versatile linear canvas for outlining stages, accenting architecture, or creating custom-shaped video elements. Available in various lengths and even flexible formats, they empower designers to integrate dynamic motion graphics into any environment.
Versatile Optical Control
Adapt your look to any application. Many of our pixel battens include interchangeable filters, such as black stealth diffusers for high contrast or frosted options for wide, even output. This built-in flexibility allows you to achieve the perfect visual aesthetic for broadcast, architectural, or stage applications.
Seamless System Integration
Deploy with confidence in any professional ecosystem. Our pixel battens support industry-standard control protocols like Art-Net and sACN for reliable integration with media servers and lighting consoles. Designed as part of a complete system with dedicated drivers, they ensure scalable, dependable performance on the road and in permanent installations.
Your Questions, Answered
While both are linear fixtures, a pixel batten is specifically designed for pixel-mapping video content, featuring individual LED control and protocols like Art-Net or sACN for integration with media servers. A standard LED batten is typically used for static colors or simple effects like color washes, controlled primarily via DMX.
Our pixel battens are designed as part of a complete system. They typically require a dedicated driver, such as a CHAUVET Professional ÉPIX Drive, which provides both power and data processing, converting standard video protocols into a signal the fixtures can use for seamless video playback.
Many of our pixel battens come with multiple optical filters to modify their appearance. A black ‘stealth’ filter enhances contrast and makes pixels appear to float, which is great for broadcast or low-light stages. A white ‘frosted’ or ‘milky’ filter diffuses the light for a wider viewing angle and a softer, blended look, ideal for architectural accents or direct-view applications.
